Thomas Gentry
Executive Consultant
Thomas N. Gentry IV brings to MAP a rare combination of combat-tested leadership, enterprise executive experience, and a practitioner’s command of the technologies reshaping how modern businesses operate. Across two decades, he has built and led high-performing organizations in cybersecurity, managed IT services, SaaS, AI, and UCaaS, consistently driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and organizational accountability in every company he has led.
Thomas’s foundation was forged in the U.S. Army, where he served seven and a half years as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer and Paratrooper, including two combat deployments to Afghanistan under Operation Enduring Freedom. His final assignment was as a HALO Platoon Sergeant at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, where he designed and evaluated the combat readiness of Army units preparing for deployment to active war zones. A parachute malfunction resulted in injuries requiring medical retirement. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Audie Murphy Medallion, recognizing the top 2% of Non-Commissioned Officers in the United States Army for exemplary leadership. It was in the Army that Thomas first learned what it means to build teams that perform under pressure, hold each other accountable, and execute with precision when it matters most.
That leadership philosophy carried directly into his business career. As Sales Director at Accruent, he achieved 160% quota attainment across more than 150 strategic accounts, closed the largest deal in company history, and rebuilt the sales organization’s operational process by introducing MEDDPICC methodology and accountability structures that made performance repeatable across a team of 14 Territory Managers. As CEO of California Computer Options, he increased EBITDA 17% year-over-year by redesigning go-to-market strategy, improving operational execution, and restructuring how teams were incentivized and measured. At Circle MSP, he generated more than $4 million in qualified enterprise pipeline within six months. Presidents Club honors span four organizations: NetSPI, Ivanti, Accruent, and California Computer Options.
What distinguishes Thomas as a consultant is his ability to diagnose and improve the systems underneath an organization, not just the results on top. He has designed and implemented sales and operational frameworks from the ground up, built accountability structures that align leadership teams around measurable execution, and introduced AI and automation systems that eliminate friction across organizations. As Co-Founder and CRO of OrgAtlas, he architected an AI-driven revenue platform that automates prospecting, enriches data in real time, and surfaces high-conversion opportunities traditional methods miss. Combining battlefield-tested leadership with executive operating experience, Thomas helps organizations strengthen operational discipline, improve cross-functional alignment, and build scalable systems that drive long-term growth.
Thomas holds an MBA with a concentration in IT Commercialization from North Carolina State University’s Jenkins Graduate School and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership, Cum Laude, from Arizona State University. He is a member of the North Carolina Technology Association Advisory Board, the New Mexico Technology Council, the OWASP Foundation, and InfraGard, and has volunteered extensively with youth organizations throughout his community.
